Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s

CINDERELLA

Once upon a time…as all good fairy tales begin, Cinderella is the timeless creation set to music by Rodgers and Hammerstein, the same who brought South Pacific and The Sound of Music to the stage.

We all know the classic version, but in this rewrite by Douglas Carter Beane (Sister Act, Xanadu) the metamorphosis is exquisite. In this contemporary take, with all the classic parts we know and love still there, the story is at once sweet and romantic with just enough humor sprinkled throughout. Be transported back with the songs we remember… “In My Own Little Corner”, “Impossible/It’s Possible”, “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful?” and “Ten Minutes Ago”.

Hershey Theatre is proud to be a participant in Kids’ Night on Broadway. This group was created to introduce children and young adults to wonderful world of the stage and theater. For the Wednesday, January 27th showing of Cinderella, kids 18 and under can get one free ticket when accompanied by a paying adult.
