In case you have not heard, Hershey Entertainment has begun their $150 million, 23 acre “Chocolatetown” expansion of Hersheypark. Among other things, this expansion will include their 15th and largest rollercoaster as well as a new full service resturant. Unfortunately, you will have to wait until the 2020 season for this to be complete. As of January 2019, construction has begun on the new entrance. If you are familiar with Hersheypark you may remember the Bavarian Village. This village is going away and will be replaced with a new entrance. The tram loop will be moved up a bit closer to the parking lot to make more room.
While no specifics are available yet, expect to use a temporary entrance for the 2019 season. And let’s not forget about 2019. A new ride, Reese’s Cupfusion will be opening for this season.

And if you plan to visit the park in 2019, 2020, or both years consider the 1825 Inn as your place to stay. Our B&B is your home away from home and only 4 miles from the park.
