We have been getting questions about traveling and the continuing COVID crisis. I would like to provide some answers. First, and foremost we are open. Pennsylvania has always listed hotels as essential businesses. So we have remained open all of this year and will continue to do so through out the holiday season. Area restaurants and Hershey activities are also open. Currently, Pennsylvania requires restaurants to operate indoor seating at no more than 50%. Many activities such as Chocolate World do require timed passes be obtained prior to visiting. We recommend checking with websites for each establishment’s operating procedure and requirements.
Some people have expressed concern with staying at hotels with the potential of coming in contact with large amounts of people. The 1825 with only 8 rooms is a much smaller property. Our cottage rooms have been a very popular choice this year. These two rooms have private entrances from the backyard. They are spacious with king beds, whirlpool tubs, and tables for two, for in-room dining if desired.
With the very warm fall that we have been experiencing, the outdoor space at the inn has remained a popular spot for visitors. The covered deck with its firepit is open for use all year.
We continue to provide our full plated breakfast with each night’s stay. We do socially distance guests during breakfast and seat no more than three tables in our breakfast room. If more tables are required we will seat in other common area rooms in the main house and for those guests staying in the cottage rooms, we also offer in-room dining at no additional charge if requested.
We understand traveling this year is a very personal decision. We are here to help you and facilitate the process in any way possible. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. Stay safe.
