CULLARI VINEYARDS AND WINERY

HERSHEY, PA

As owners of this small yet distinctive winery, Salvatore and Kathi Cullari work hard to ensure their wines are of the highest quality for their customers..they would not sell a wine they themselves wouldn’t drink.

Located in Hershey, the first vines met the local soil in 2000.  With their second vineyard and planting in 2007, the Cullaris doubled their size.  Salvatore and Kathi specialize in both traditional dry and sweet reds, whites and pinks as well as some unusual grape and fruit varieties located only at their tasting rooms.  Most of their wines are produced in small quantities which means they tend to sell out very quickly.

Cullari grows both vinifera type grapes (common European grape cultivated in many varieties; chief source of Old World wine and table grapes) such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc, Chardonnay…and hybrid varieties (resulting from two different species of grapes) to include Vidal Blanc, Chambourcin and Chancellor. Of note, they are one of the few vineyards in Pennsylvania to grow Zinfandel, Barbara and Sangiovese.
