Blue Bird Inn

Blue Bird Inn is the place to go if you love great food with a side of history. They bill themselves as one of the oldest continuously operating Inns serving food in PA, and there is a plaque upstairs dated 1859 that confirms it. While sometimes dining in a historic building can be all ambiance, Blue Bird has a chef that cares about local ingredients. You will see an excellent selection of casual pub fare, a full dinner menu, and some exciting cocktails.

Babe’s Grill House

Babe’s Grill House was opened ten years ago to create a family-friendly and fun space. They source many ingredients locally and have a superb choice of wings, appetizers, and pub food. The Chocolate Avenue Grill was renovated recently and has a mid-century vibe. There are some down-home items on the menu and some original choices like Moroccan Salmon or Mexican Street Risotto.

If you are looking for a superb dining experience and love seafood and steak, then Devon Seafood is the place to go! In 2022, they attained multiple honors as a winner of a Wine Spectator award of Excellence and 2022 Best of Harrisburg. So try the Lobster Bisque, Shellfish Cioppino, or Surf and Turf. Funcks Restaurant and Bar

If you love local craft beers, Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant is a wonderful place to taste some locally made brews and enjoy from-scratch cooking. Find more than a dozen choices on tap (more in the bottle) to pair with Country Schnitzel, Fish and Chips (made with their beer), or Hearth Baked Pizzas.

Lisa’s Cafe

Lissa actually owns Lisa’s Cafe. There are two locations, one here in Palmyra and another at the Hershey’s Story Museum (open for breakfast and lunch only). The main Cafe serves a homestyle dinner like Grilled Liver and Onions or Grilled Crab Cakes. There are many sandwich and pizza options as well.

Suggested wine pairings for every dish are on the menu.

Rising Sun Bar and Kitchen

If you are looking for live entertainment and an eclectic choice of entree items, then Rising Sun Bar and Kitchen is a good choice. From sushi to tacos, poke to brisket, there are a variety of different ethnic themes. We’re not sure where else you could get both Pierogies and Bang Bang Cauliflower.

Rotunda Brewpub

Sometimes you want a place where the cocktail menu is almost as long as the dinner menu, and Rotunda Brewpub is that place in Hershey. Yes, there are a dozen or more handcrafted brews on tap, but if one of you isn’t big on beer, there are just as many fun choices for them. Let’s not give short shrift on the food; with house-smoked meats and pickles, even the burgers are an upgrade from the standard.

The Mill in Hershey

The Mill in Hershey is located in a restored feed mill with three floors of unique dining areas. The menu is limited but thoughtful, with entrees like a Bone-in Porterhouse Pork Chop or Roasted Half Duck. In addition, there are some signature cocktails and yummy desserts to end the evening.

1762 at the Warwick Hotel

12 W Main St, Hummelstown PA
Just opened in late 2022, the 1762 at the Warwick Hotel has the same owner at Babe’s Grill House. Housed in a structure built in 1762, the ambiance is historic, but the food is organic and contemporary. The flavors are French and Mediterranean, with a bit of Thai added in. With an intriguing menu housed in a venerable building, we will be watching this new addition to the dining scene.
