They bill themselves as one of the oldest continuously operating Inns serving food in PA, and there is a plaque upstairs dated 1859 that confirms it. Yes, there are a dozen or more handcrafted brews on tap, but if one of you isn’t big on beer, there are just as many fun choices for them. Let’s not give short shrift on the food; with house-smoked meats and pickles, even the burgers are an upgrade from the standard.

1762 at the Warwick Hotel

Just opened in late 2022, the 1762 at the Warwick Hotel has the same owner at Babe’s Grill House. Housed in a structure built in 1762, the ambiance is historic, but the food is organic and contemporary. The flavors are French and Mediterranean, with a bit of Thai added in. With an intriguing menu housed in a venerable building, we will be watching this new addition to the dining scene.
