Featured in this program will be Overture to Rosamunde by Franz Schubert, Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 17 in G Major, K. 453, by Wolgang Amadeus Mozart (Gretchen Dekker on piano), and Symphony No. 1 in B Flat Major, “Spring” Op. 38, by Robert Schumann.
The Hershey Symphony, an orchestra of accomplished musicians, has been sharing its talent to Central Pennsylvania for nearly 50 years. Each of these musicians volunteer his or her time and talent to provide cultural enrichment for the community and for the personal love of music. The orchestra, which is located in Hershey, is comprised of 80 individuals who come from a wide area of Eastern and Central Pennsylvania. Concert programs are not limited to classical, but include music of many different periods and styles..classical, romantic, baroque, contemporary and even Broadway.
